Day 259-Adjusting to Change

Change sometimes happens when you least expect it
or, even when you know it is coming,
you may feel unprepared and not ready to process.
"Alter, adjust, adapt,
switch, swap";
"Make different" from what was before.
A mixture of bitter and sweet
as "what was" is missed
and "what will be" is lovely and good too.
The thread connecting the past with the present
and the present with the future is love.
Love the people in the places that teach us, oh, so much
because their faith and love are the same:
unconditional, strong, kind, enduring,
and forever with no beginning and no end.

All of us did not get the opportunity to express our feelings as the Tri Valley Young Single Adult Ward bishopric was released and a new bishopric was called, but this is what I would have liked to have expressed:  "I love the bishopric and their wives who we have served with for 3 years and 9 months.  Hopefully, you have allowed them to influence your lives as much as they have influenced mine for good.  I love them with all my heart and am thankful for the long lasting friendship we have created along with you.  I love my Heavenly Father and Savior; I am learning to love like them, but I can see that it takes a lifetime to do so for they are perfect and I am not.  I love our prophet and the Book of Mormon.  I love the temple.  I am so grateful to have two daughters getting married in the temple just five weeks apart this spring and summer.  I love all of my children and their father with so much love that words are not enough.  I love the YSA; you are great examples to me and to each other so stay connected.  Just keep striving to do what is right even when times are difficult or happy; the Lord is so aware of you even when you may not think so.  Doubt not, but have faith and love each other."
