Day 258-Thumbing Through Pages

As I was thumbing through some of my written responses to questions on assignments my children asked of me a long time ago, I ran across Jaclyn's book she made when she was 17-years-old.  Jaclyn wanted to glean words of wisdom from those she knew and admired to help guide her along her life's path.  Looking back on my advice given to youth long ago, my answer is the same then and now for all of my children and grandchildren:
"In all your decisions, behavior, attitude, and character over the next 5, 10, even 75 years of your lives, you will want to follow the Savior who will lead each of us back to our Father in Heaven.  Remembering each of your births with your dad, there is no doubt you had just come from heaven.  What an overwhelming responsibility and trust God placed in us.  You are our children here upon this earth and always if we are worthy.  Knowing how much we love you is but a glimpse of how much our Heavenly Father and Savior love us unconditionally.  Words cannot express adequately the depth of love I feel for each of you and that love grows deeper and deeper.  God must be brimming over with love for all of His children--I am"~me, 2001.
I did not know then what life would hold these past 15 years, but I do know through the ups and downs, highs and lows, good and not so good, I have been wrapped in God's love even when I could not see or feel it at the time.  As I look back, He has been there through it all.  I am ever learning to be and love like Jesus Christ.  Thank you to my family and dear friends who teach me by their loving examples. You are God's hands on this earth and I am forever grateful for you.
