I know because I have it.
I need to slow down
to look at a daisy
(they are the "friendliest flower"),
plant a garden in May,
write a 'thank you' note,
talk to a neighbor,
walk with a friend,
read with an adult or a child,
chat with my daughters,
hug my sons,
say 'I love you' to my husband,
pray as I ponder the scriptures,
and see God's hand in my life.
I need to concentrate on my potential;
not my limitations.
I need to not be frustrated if
I don't reach my goals each day,
but be happy with what I do accomplish.
I need to be flexible to follow promptings;
to listen to the whisperings of the Spirit
to bless my family and others.
I hope to not be in such haste that I
mistakenly miss what matters most
amidst the busyness of the day.
No one wants to be sick so
hurry, scurry when I must,
but pause in the present to love.
Mae is my lovely granddaughter
who loves pink flowers to be planted
who loves pink flowers to be planted
in my small garden just for her.
Sometimes she is visiting from Utah
to plant with me. I just love that!
