Day 210-March 29, 2005

I am so thankful for times I write in my journals for then I find gems such as this:  "Today was a perfect day in the middle of an almost perfect week (it could only be perfect if Rick and Jaclyn were home with us).  Ryan, Cameron, and Jenessa had Nick, Nano, and Sara over the night before to spend the night.  They were all very happy to have had fun the evening before as we took their friends home in the morning on the way to the dentist.  Teeth gleaming, Ryan practices volleyball, Jenessa, Allyson, and Haley roller blade in San Ramon for Achievement Day and Cameron plays at the Wake's while Juliann and I have a fun day of homemaking.

Juliann sews her BYU dorm quilt for her CVHS senior project while I learn how to use our new Bernina sewing machine making my own quilt of sorts.  Jewels and I stop in between to make yummy strawberry freezer jam and homemade bread to go with it.  We watch "Anne of Green Gables" and "Shall We Dance" while we do these fun projects and completely forget about Cameron's orthodontist appointment until the office phones.  Not thinking about what to do next, but concentrating on what we are doing means being completely lost in the moment and enjoying every minute of it.  I will remember this day forever with Juliann as one of our favorites before she leaves home for college; I wish every week could be spring vacation!"  This is one of my fondest memories!
