When I arrived in Utah last Thursday, Grandma Marme (that's me) gave my grandchildren small gifts out of my suitcase. Later, I received a box in return with a picture of an angel and a shepherd child on it wrapped with silver tape. Inside the box were treasures Mae had received from her mommy at some point and then had decided to give to me: lotion, lip gloss, and eye shadow. These not-so-new items were precious to her and cherished more by me for her desire to give back. Oh, how I hope to have the heart of a child so lovely, unpretentious, and big. Thank you Mae!
