Day 66-Re-dipping

Today I picked up my wedding ring from Wilson Diamond in Provo where I had it re-dipped since the rhodium plating gradually wears off.  Now both the diamonds and the white gold shine brilliantly.  In life, we may require re-dipping so that we may shine brighter.  We can become tarnished so a bit of scouring, buffing, furbishing and even re-dipping allows for our light to radiate to others. Moreover, my granddaughter Mae and I talked about the song "I'm Trying to Be like Jesus" and how we won't be perfect, but we can try our best.  We also talked about how praying helps to keep our attitudes and actions more in line with Jesus. Twice I saw her pray in the family room today.  Oh, to be humble like a little child.

  1. 1. I'm trying to be like Jesus;
    I'm following in his ways.
    I'm trying to love as he did, in all that I do and say.
    At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice,
    But I try to listen as the still small voice whispers,
  2. 2. I'm trying to love my neighbor;
    I'm learning to serve my friends.
    I watch for the day of gladness when Jesus will come again.
    I try to remember the lessons he taught.
    Then the Holy Spirit enters into my thoughts, saying:
  3. Chorus
    "Love one another as Jesus loves you.
    Try to show kindness in all that you do.
    Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought,
    For these are the things Jesus taught."
