Day 62-Charsky and Hutch

When Rick and I dated at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, California, the 1975-1979 TV Series named Starsky and Hutch about two clever cops who catch criminals in a red Ford Torino was popular. Not only did my parents own two Torinos, but my name rhymed with Star and Rick was often called Hutch; thus, we became known as Charsky and Hutch. Yesterday, when we had lunch near BYU with two friends from high school who now live in Utah, those names resurfaced. Our enjoyable lunchtime together was 'a blast from the past'. No one intends to have so many months and years pass before seeing each other, but life happens. Thankfully, it is fun to stir up the caldron of memories especially on Halloween, and reconnect after all this time.  Moreover, we just need to not let too much time pass before we do it again!

No Red Torinos on Halloween, but our grandson Henry loved the thought of driving a car fast as Lightning McQueen!
