Rick and I took a lovely walk on Las Trampas behind our home after listening to the LDS General Conference this weekend. The walk and the conference were inspiring with words and views that touched the deep recesses of my heart. I loved President Thomas S Monson's brief but true words, especially when he said: "The choices we make determine our destiny." Moreover, I agree that some times the right road is the harder choice, but it is so much better than the wrong road.
I have always loved meandering paths and roads instead of the congested highways and big city streets. As Robert Frost so beautifully said: "I took the road less traveled and it has made all the difference." I am hoping to keep trying to make the right choices and travel the right roads. I like what Elder Jeffrey R Holland said, "You get credit for TRYING even if you don't SUCCEED." He also said "Heaven is cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever." On a day as pretty and uplifting as today, I believe with all my heart that this is so. In addition, I am grateful for my family and friends on earth who cheer me on as well.
