Week 17-Home for Christmas

As morning breaks on New Year's Eve, I find myself reflecting upon all the comings and goings of the past year.  2015 has been one for our family's history book full of the most precious blessings:  last December 2014 Jenessa returned home after serving 18 months in the Florida Jacksonville Mission where she made treasured friends and memories and after completing another semester at BYU she married her sweetheart Chad on May 30; in January Cameron returned home from the John Volken Academy in Canada, became a certified personal fitness trainer for Danny Lynch Fitness, and fulfilled his wish and mine of being home for Christmas which he had missed the past two years; this past year Ryan successfully studied and passed the CPA exam and after working for Deloitte in SF made a move to Utah to work for Greener Equity; Juliann and Brett continued their busy, fun job of raising three of the most adorable children ever (I have bragging rights because I am their grandma):  Mae (7), Henry (3 1/2) and Huey (almost 2) while building their new home which will be completed this coming spring; and Jaclyn planned a beautiful wedding while teaching high school and married her sweetheart Seth on July 3.  Rick moved his office to Walnut Creek making it easy for us to meet for lunch and for him to come home without a long commute all while serving in the young adult ward.  My life this year has been full as I organized weddings along with hosting showers and parties for friends and young adults all while writing this blog.

Yes, this year is pretty up there as one of the best years ever for our sweet family and I am feeling especially grateful. As we simply gathered on our comfy couch to watch a movie last night and Cameron gave me a big hug and then played a game of Dominos at the kitchen table with Rick, Jaclyn, Ryan, Cameron and I laughing out loud, my heart is happy!
