Day 219-Gold and Green Ball

In my journal on April 7, 1978 exactly 37 years ago, I wrote about attending our Gold and Green Ball with the theme:  "You Light Up My Life".  We may have been at the Pingree home where members of our bishopric--Bishop Wood, Brother Hulburt, and Brother Livingstone--were our waiters formally attired in dark suits with white towels draped over each of their arms as they served us our lovely dinner.  After, we traveled with our dates to the Concord East Stake Center for the dance.  I remember feeling like Cinderella as we took the following picture of graduating senior girls being presented to those in attendance:

(I struggled with editing this photo last night
and it still would not crop this morning so
some things are just supposed to be as they are.
Also, this dance was in the days before corsages
became so convenient to wear on your wrist.)
