Lucky for us, Rick came home a bit early this afternoon and Ryan had finished studying for the CPA exam for the day. Rick, Ryan and I were talking while looking through the mail when I remembered that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 had opened in the theaters. With a glance at the clock and Ryan's quick look at his iPhone for the places and times the movie was playing, we grabbed our jackets and scurried out the door. We hurried into the movie theater to find seats still available with previews just beginning. Way to be spontaneous!
I enjoyed the movie, but would have loved to have seen it as a whole movie instead of broken up into two parts. The film with actress Jennifer Lawrence delivers, nonetheless, an exciting though bleak movie similar to the book. I just wanted the movie to move at a faster pace and I wanted more of it!
At least, we moved at a fast pace to make the movie. Hooray for spontaneity, quick action, and light traffic. As Effie Trinket in the first Hunger Games said, "May the odds be ever in your favor!" which they were today.
