More than a week ago, Rick's parents met us in Tahoe where we ate our way through Austin's, Fire Sign Inn, and T's Rotisserie in addition to cooking at the cabin. This week they joined us at home in California where we ate our way through Dominico's, Skipolini's, Sauced, Gott's, ice cream and homemade banana cake with cream cheese frosting! Add in playing Train Dominoes and Phase 10 at the kitchen table many times over and you would think our focus revolved around fun and food in and out of the kitchen. You would be right!
I would call our time with "our parentals " especially sweet! It meant so much to have them make the long drive through Nevada from Utah to visit our family. Besides eating good, simple food, we enjoyed our time together talking, sightseeing, visiting family, relaxing by the pool, playing games, and talking some more.
