Day 358-Firsts

I am thankful for firsts:  first smiles, first giggles, first words, first steps, first day of school, first dance, first date, first graduation, first day on the job...the list could go on forever.  Each day really could be a first for though our days may be similar, there is always someone or something unique about the day.  Today Jaclyn began her first day of teaching high school for the eighth year while Jenessa began her first day on the job in the campus newsroom for Steve Fidel, editor of the BYU Universe.  Me, I did what I love best:  preparing to host another party for tomorrow.  No, not a wedding this time, but a baby shower for a dear family friend who adopted her first baby!  Loving pink today too!  As my countdown continues on Day 7, I am thankful for firsts; if we look hard enough we can see them in every day of our lives. My first today was eating the last bite of Juliann's scrumptious chocolate bundt cake recipe I made earlier in the week to practice before the baby shower. Definitely a first I am willing to repeat!
