Dear Dad:
I wish you could see me and talk with me all grown up whether I were 25, 35, 45 or now 55. You died when I was 13 and you were only 46; you have missed so much and our family misses you. I would tell you about my life: the good times, the difficult times, the happy and the sad times. I would introduce you to my wonderful husband who loves me unconditionally, our five fabulous children, their good husbands, and our three beautiful grandchildren. I would tell you that my life has been blessed. I would have you imagine the things I like to do from reading and writing to dancing and playing tennis to making things beautiful and cherishing time with family and friends to sharing with you my faith and love of God. I would have you tell me stories that I don't know from your life and I would share mine. I would link arms and walk down a lovely road near my home admiring the redwoods thinking you are strong and sturdy like them. However, you are not here, but still I can talk to you as I walk my path on Earth. You may not be right here physically beside me, but somehow I know you know who I am and what I am about. More importantly, you know what I am capable of as I strive to become more like my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. How blessed I am to have you looking on from Heaven and cheering me on. I love you to Heaven and back.
