Rosa Mae Hawkes, age 89, passed away on Sunday, June 14. I loved what our friend Ellen Brown did by posting a tribute to Rosa Mae Hawkes by sharing a picture of a quilt that Rosa Mae had given her. I thought I would follow Ellen's example and post a picture of a quilt Rosa Mae had given me. Rosa Mae was known for making her beautiful quilts and for being kind and young at heart. She cared about others and others cared about her. Though I am not a quilter, I appreciate making things beautiful, which Rosa Mae was a master. I will always cherish her warmth, chuckle, talent, and love. Our family sends loving prayers to the Hawkes family.
