Day 281-Timeless Tilden

This week is full of memories as I revisit places that I use to take my children to for play dates.  I remember my children's laughter and smiles as I see my grandchildren enjoy the same joys.  Today Juliann met her childhood friend, Megan Scott Dulgarian, (Patti Mortensen's granddaughter) at the farm at Tilden Park in Berkeley so their children could have a play date. Megan's mommy Cathy and I took Megan and Juliann to Tilden Park to Lake Anza when our little girls were only two.  I can't believe so much time has gone by.  I was thankful to be included to relive this memory of mine.

The hot sun beat down upon us at noon so after we came home, the children jumped in the spa.  Alamo was 100 degrees--yikes!  Mae's little friend Ruby came over and played in the spa too.  Ruby and Mae remind me of Megan and Juliann.  Ruby sometimes wonders why Mae does not live here full time, but I think she finally understands that Juliann is her mom and that I am her grandma.  I don't think there is anything more wonderful than being Marme to Mae, Henry and Huey!
