Charlotte May is my maiden name so I have always loved May 1st. At Northgate High School on special days, such as Valentine's Day and May Day, students could purchase carnations for 25 cents for their friends or secret admirers. Rick never failed to send me carnations with sayings like "Happy May Day" and "Every day in May is a happy day for May!" Today I woke up to carnations waiting for me in the kitchen with those similar sentiments. Simple gestures mean so much! Thank you for remembering Rick; you are too cute and sweet!
