Day 216-Watching and Listening to General Conference to Become a Better Person

This is one of my favorite weekends of the entire year not just because I get to watch and listen from home in comfy clothes on my comfy couch with my family as I have written before,  but because I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today, President Thomas S. Monson.  On TV, I get to hear President Monson speak along with the men and women who help lead and guide this true church.   I also have the opportunity to sustain the First Presidency and the Twelve Apostles as prophets, seers, and revelators during general conference.

These are some of the great quotes from today's morning and afternoon sessions:

"The family is the center of life and it is the key to eternal happiness."~L. Tom Perry

"We must seek to be firmly rooted and converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ."~Dallin H. Oaks

"The entire theology of the restored gospel centers on families and on the new and everlasting covenant of marriage."~L. Tom Perry

"When we follow the Savior of the world, the Son of God, we flourish and become glorious despite the many terrible circumstances that surround us."~Quentin L. Cook

"God cares a lot more about who we are and about who we are becoming than about who we once were."~Dale G. Renlund

"Our children's happiness depends on their ability to hear and love the beautiful music of the gospel."~Elder Wilford W. Andersen

I love listening to General Conference
of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints today and
tomorrow on Easter Sunday
